Weird Arabic Meal

This is probably the strangest meal I’ve ever seen in my life.I think it belongs to a special religious ceremony.Does anyone know how they can manage to reach the food in the middle of these huge trays?

Interesting. My guess would be they work from the inside and slowly get to the edge but I have no idea. Arabic culture isn’t my thing.

There is nothing weird about this food except the size of it which must be some kind of a gag. if you like meat you’ll LOVE this food. I think it is called Maalube (”upside down” in Arabic).

It looks like an Animals graveyard in miniature.

nothing weird here folks except the size. this is in saudi arabia. it is called kabsah (not Maalube). it is simply rice and meat. it has nothing to do with religion. the setting is exaggerated and not common whatsoever. the usual setting is for the same food to be served in smaller round trays (slightly bigger than satellite dishes found on roof tops).

He he! thanks for the heads up saudi friend! kabsah… mmm.

What intrests me more is how all the food got into that pan thing to begin. I imagine people crawling in and walking around to fill it up.
